TANIA JANOSOVA - MEZZOSOPRANO        

Tania was born in Zlin, Czech Republic, where she was organist and choir master of a children´s choir. She studied music and German at the University of Palacky in Olomouc and completed her advanced studies at the Catholic University of Eichstaett, Germany. As regards singing, she started in Olomouc with Professor Hana Keferova, continuing in Bratislava (Slovakia) with Eva Blahova. She has attended master classes and technique courses in many international music festivals, such as the Masterclasses with Mirella Freni, Maria Oran, A. Dvorak Festival in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic) with M. Hajossyova, Central European Festival in Misslareuth (Germany) with T.Thomaschke, Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad (Germany) with W.Mateuzzi, P. Dvorsky Festival in Jaromerice (Czech Republic) with E. Blahova and P. Dvorsky himself, as well as international courses for technique at the Vienna High School (Austria) with E. Blahova and in Piestany (Slovakia) with E. Blahova, J. Nesterenko y S. Kopcak.

In the year 2000, she joined the opera chorus of the National Janacek Theatre in Brno (Czech Republic), where she sang the complete repertoire of Czech and international operas. Countries visited on tour with the National Theatre included Japan, Greece, Germany, Austria etc. Between 2002 and 2004 she was a soloist at the Silesian Theatre at Opava (Czech Republic), where she made her debut in the roles of Carmen in the opera Carmen (G. Bizet), Maddalena in Rigoletto (G. Verdi), Adalgisa in Norma (V. Bellini) and took leading roles in Czech operas such as the witch of Rusalka (A. Dvorak), Mother of the Sold Wife (Smetana), etc. She was a soloist in Requiem by W. A. Mozart, Stabat Mater by J. Haydn and by A. Dvorak, in masses and Christmas oratorios, etc. With the Zlin Philharmonic Orchestra, she was a soloist in Requiem by W. A. Mozart, in the greatest and best known Czech Christmas mass, HEJ MISTR E by J. J. Ryba. With the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra she sang the Stabat Mater by J. Haydn and by A. Dvorak. With the same orchestra she sang the arias of the opera Carmen and the arias of Czech operas in the Opening Concert of the P. Dvorsky Festival in Jaromerice (Czech Republic).

In TENERIFE, she has participated as a soloist and or a member of chamber music groups, such as the Bohemian Trio. She has also given concerts with the chamber orchestra Orquesta de Camara, founded by its current conductor Patrick Doumeng. She has participated in the "Music at Christmas" and "Music in Spring" series and at Easter has sung works such as Dixit Dominus by G. F. Handel, Mass in F by J. S. Bach, etc. She sang with the Capriccio Quartet as soloist in the XV Sacred Music Week of La Laguna, Tenerife. Sacred works in the programme featured, among others, Ave Maria by J. S. Bach, Laudate Dominum by W. A. Mozart, Panis Angelicus by C. Franc, arias of the Stabat Mater by J. Haydn, the oratorio Messiah by G. F. Handel, etc. She has participated in a piano and song recital “Popular Christmas Carols and Christmas Concert Songs”, singing works of the composers J. Rodrigo, E. Toldra, H. Wolf, M. Ravel, G. Faure, C. Debussy, etc. In February 2005, she won First Prize for Best Soloist in the Rondalla Competition of the Tenerife Carnival, and in February 2006 she won Third Prize in the same contest. She regularly participates in the Tenerife Opera Festival and in October 2005 she made her debut in the role of Berta in The Barber of Seville (G. Rossini), beside Marie-Ange Todorovich and under the baton of the conductor Alberto Zedda. In April 2006 she was a finalist in the Caja Canarias Singing Competition in Tenerife. She regularly offers concerts at the Caja Canarias Auditorium in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the pianist Manuel Cabero I Pueyo. Currently, she is preparing a recital for voice and piano that will include the "Five Black Songs" by X. Montsalvatge, "Frauenliebe und Leben" by R. Schumann, "Venetian Regattas" de G. Rossini y "Ariadne auf Naxos" by J. Haydn.

Owing to her command of various languages, she includes works in her repertoire in Czech, Russian, German, Italian, Spanish and French.
